Community & Support
From newcomer welcomes to standing beside families in difficult seasons — no Edo person stands alone in Ghana.
Ób'ókhián — You Are Welcome
For twenty years, the Edo State Association of Ghana has been the meeting place of the children of the Great Benin — preserving our culture, protecting our people, and building our future together in Ghana.
On 29 April 2006, nineteen Edo sons and daughters met in Accra with one shared desire — unity, love and cooperation among all Edo people residing in Ghana. Twenty years on, that promise is a family.
Est. 2006 · Accra, GhanaWhat We Hold Up
From newcomer welcomes to standing beside families in difficult seasons — no Edo person stands alone in Ghana.
Connecting Edo entrepreneurs, traders and professionals across Ghana — and opening doors for those looking to invest back home.
A welfare structure that shows up — hospital visits, bereavement support, celebrations of new life, and help in times of need.
Keeping the drumbeat of the Great Benin alive in Ghana — festivals, language, dress and tradition passed to the next generation.
Itan Ẹdo — Our Story
We descend from one of Africa's most celebrated civilizations — a royal dynasty of more than eight hundred years, bronze-casters whose art stunned the world, and walls counted among the greatest earthworks ever raised.
Edo, Esan, Afemai, Owan, Akoko-Edo — in Ghana, we are one people under one roof, and our heritage is not a memory. It is an inheritance we live, teach and celebrate.
